Job Description:

The Cloud Operation Support Engineer in Allianz Technology Malaysia, Regional Delivery Center (RDC) is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure. The role involves implementing best practices in cloud computing, optimizing cloud performance, and supporting continuous integration and deployment processes. Key domains include architecture and design, deployment and management, security and compliance, collaboration, technical support, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture diagrams and documentation
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services and tools to improve efficiency and performance
  • Deploy and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and costs
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
  • Work closely with Information Security Officer (“ISO”) & Security Operation to ensure cloud infrastructure complies with Allianz’s security policies and industry standards
  • Implement and manage security controls, such as IAM policies, encryption, and network security
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support cloud-based applications
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Participate in cloud strategy and roadmap planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
