Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Network Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our customers and our HPE Engineered Solutions cutting-edge network fabric solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with customers to understand their Layer 2/Layer 3 integration needs, discussing and designing network architectures for our Private Cloud offers, and developing automation solutions to streamline network operations.

Job Responsibility:

Facilitate discussions with HPE Field, HPE Partners, and customers directly to explain our HPE Engineered Solution Network Architecture and how it integrates with their network fabric via Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols
Facilitate discussions with HPE Field, HPE Partners, and customers directly on the network security architecture and help integrate our HPE Engineered Solution into the requirements of the network requirements/regulations
Provide technical consultation and guidance to customers on best practices and optimal configuration
Aid in the development of tailored network architecture plans that align with customer requirements and leverage the capabilities of the HPE Engineered Solution stacks
Identify potential challenges and provide innovative solutions to achieve robust, standardized, and scalable network designs
Design and develop automation tools for network infrastructure deployment and lifecycle using GoLang and Python
Create scripts and workflows to simplify deployment, monitoring, and management of network environments
Maintain and improve the reliability and efficiency of network automation solutions
Work closely with internal engineering, product, and support teams to align customer needs with product features and updates
Document customer requirements, solution designs, and automation workflows for future reference and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, protocols, and configurations (e.g., VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VRF, VxLAN, EVPN)
Hands-on experience with HPE network devices and network troubleshooting tools
Third-party network device experience is a plus
Software-defined networking (e.g., VMware NSX, Open Switch, Hyper-V / Azure Stack virtual networking)
Proficiency in developing automation scripts and tools using GoLang, Java, and Python
Experience with network automation frameworks or tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Apache Airflow)
Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments is a plus
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Networking, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
12+ years of professional experience and a Master of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study
without a Masters degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (15+ years in total)
Experience in customer-facing roles, such as solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, or technical consultant, is highly desirable
