Job Responsibility:

  • Applies knowledge of network technologies to contribute to network design, implementation, and operation
  • Translates high-level designs for datacenters or network sites into low-level designs and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the development, expansion, or modification of network infrastructure within existing datacenters or network sites
  • Triages, troubleshoots, and repairs live site issues by applying an understanding of network, its components and features as well as problem management tools (e.g., root cause analysis, trend analysis, postmortems), to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers
  • participates in on-call/DRI duties to troubleshoot incidents in production
  • Collaborates with teams across the organization to support and manage network deployments

Requirements:

  • 5+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in network design, development, and automation
  • 4-5+ years of experience in the networking Industry or large-scale data center network
  • Experience working with L2/L3 switching platforms, application networking and network protocols like BGP, ISIS, MPLS, OSPF, VRRP, LACP, Traffic Engineering
  • Knowledge of Datacenter Design (Control plane & Data Plane) & Operations
  • Experience working in large scale data center/cloud environment with an understanding of passive components (UTP Cabling, Optical cabling)
  • Experience in one or more programming languages: C++, Java, Python, Perl
  • Experience in understanding and authoring machine readable formats like XML, JSON
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
