We are seeking a senior Cloud Network Engineer to manage and evolve the core connectivity infrastructure for a major digital transformation project. This role is focused on maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of complex multi cloud networking environments within the Australian Public Sector.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and manage existing cloud networking components, including NSGs, VNets, Load Balancers, UDRs, and Application Gateways
Ensure Network Security Groups (NSGs) are consistently applied and aligned with strict organisational security policies and Zero Trust segmentation models
Develop network patterns, load balancer configurations, and complex DNS integrations to support evolving application needs
Support the operational integrity of load-balanced solutions across multiple regions and zones to ensure 24/7 service availability
Partner with platform, security, and application teams to diagnose connectivity issues and implement approved changes under strict governance
Utilise Azure Network Watcher, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor to respond to alerts and maintain network health
Assist in root cause analysis for network-related outages and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence
Requirements:
Active AGSVA Baseline Clearance
5–10+ years experience managing enterprise-grade infrastructure
Deep expertise in Azure and AWS networking services
Hands-on experience with Application Gateways, Cloudflare, UDRs, and service endpoints
Proven ability to manage multi-region, multi-zone network topologies
Experience working in highly structured environments with strict change control and audit requirements
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or ARM templates)
