Job Description:

Join us as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Barclays, where you'll be part of the specialized infrastructure team, which is responsible for the engineering and operations of high-frequency electronic trading infrastructure and other low latency systems within the bank. You'll harness technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions
  • Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance
  • Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes
  • Security: Implementation of a secure configuration and measures to protect infrastructure
  • Teamwork: Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers
  • Learning: Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of Containerization and Orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift) together with Kubernetes experience on cloud providers
  • Strong experience working in cloud environment (AWS, GCP)
  • Proficiency in IaaC tools, e.g. Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation
  • Strong Python programming skills or YAML

Nice to have:

  • Extensive knowledge in Linux administration and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with Cluster Networking and Ingress Controllers
  • Experience with Monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana/ELK stack
