We are seeking an individual to design, plan, manage, support, operate and continuously improve our public cloud platforms, aligned to the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) strategic enablement roadmap. This role focuses on ensuring secure, scalable and automated cloud foundations, with a strong emphasis on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), while collaborating with technology and business stakeholders across the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Design, operate and oversee public cloud platforms in line with organisational standards and client requirements
Enable and enhance OCI services and capabilities prioritised through the Cloud CCoE backlog
Manage day-to-day cloud platform operations, including security updates, vulnerability remediation and service stability
Build, maintain and continuously improve cloud landing zones with proactive and reactive security controls
Develop and enhance infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
Create and maintain clear technical documentation for cloud processes and automated tools
Provide cloud expertise and best-practice guidance to platform consumers and internal teams
Support incident response, root cause analysis, recovery and preventive actions to maintain platform availability
Integrate cloud environments with on‑premises networks and enterprise security systems
Requirements:
Educated to a minimum of Grade 12 level, with a relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Experienced with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with exposure to other public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
Confident in using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Knowledgeable in cloud‑native architectures, including PaaS, IaaS, microservices and APIs
Familiar with modern engineering practices such as Agile delivery and DevOps ways of working
Experienced in cloud security concepts, identity and access management, logging, monitoring and alerting
Able to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining quality and reliability
