Job Description:

The Cloud Hosting Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving Infineum’s global cloud infrastructure and network services. The role involves configuring and supporting infrastructure technologies, responding to cloud and network queries, and contributing to IT projects and service upgrades. Working within an ITIL-based framework, the specialist collaborates with application teams to manage environments and advises business groups on infrastructure solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise infrastructure performance using automation, monitoring, and secure networking tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and scalable cloud-based and containerised hosting environments
  • Manage the lifecycle of core infrastructure components, including Windows OS, VMware, and enterprise applications, ensuring stability and performance
  • Analyse system performance data to identify opportunities for service improvement and cost reduction
  • Support global hosting operations by providing expertise in datacentre management and disaster recovery planning
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to security and operational standards across infrastructure services
  • Coordinate third-party service providers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of infrastructure support

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in virtualisation and containerisation technologies (e.g., Azure Container Apps, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven experience supporting global hosting operations and implementing infrastructure solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain core infrastructure platforms, including Windows Server OS, VMware, Veeam backup
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and security principles, including Azure services and Zero Trust Architectures
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with tools such as Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), SCOM, SolarWinds, and Citrix Cloud
  • Experience working with hybrid cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code
  • Exposure to RedHat Linux, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Certificate Management (PKI), AWS Route 53 and Office 365
  • Understanding of SD-WAN, LAN/WIFI, and video conferencing technologies
  • Acknowledgement of non-traditional pathways and openness to candidates with transferable skills from related fields
