With the Digital Transformation of Airbus at full pace, the information technology ecosystem of the company is completely being redesigned and looking to take advantage of the best in class digital technology available in the market to deliver business value. Cloud is one of the main enablers of this transformation. In that context, Airbus IT teams are being entirely reshaped and seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst, whose responsibility will be to ensure we get the most value out of every dollar we spend in the cloud. As a Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will be a member of the cloud computing team continuously innovating and improving our path on cloud optimization, while helping to drive a culture of accountability regarding efficient cloud usage.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor cloud consumption at the platform level to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi cloud landscape
  • Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast
  • Evaluate and investigate data patterns to derive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Contribute to demystify Cloud cost optimization initiatives for internal customers to enhance efficiency of cloud usage
  • Develop services and automation to help optimize our usage of cloud services

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of cloud-based services usage and pricing
  • AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Experience with Cloud providers billing and discount programs
  • Unique ability to bridge finance and technology
  • Strong understanding of cloud requirements, ability to partner cross-organizationally and drive cost optimization discussions
  • Experience with 3rd party cloud cost optimization tools (CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc)
  • Has an Automation and DevOps mindset and has experience of automating deployments (Infra and Applicative - DevOps, microservices, etc)
  • Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, containers, databases and networking
  • Proven track record working in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects with handling multiple stakeholders
  • Has a habit of putting customers first and is able to do customer facing (discuss, convince and empathize) and be the bridge between customer needs and the technology available

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools
  • Certification in Azure, GCP or AWS
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner
