Job Description:

As a Cloud Engineer – Public Cloud Observability - VP at Citi, you'll play a central role in shaping and executing public cloud strategies, working on cutting-edge technologies and delivering value to the organization. This role involves hands-on infrastructure automation, developing observability frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.

Job Responsibility:

hands-on technical contribution within a product team focused on Public Cloud Foundations
contribute to a team of cloud engineers and full-stack software developers advancing public cloud strategy
identify and develop automation initiatives for public cloud service consumption
collaborate with teams across Citi's technology landscape to align cloud initiatives with business goals
define and measure success criteria for service availability and reliability
ensure adherence to standards, policies, and regulations.

Requirements:

hands-on infrastructure automation development
deep expertise in public cloud
engineering best practices
expert-level understanding of AWS/GCP Observability tools (Google Cloud Observability – Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Tracing, Cloud Alerting
AWS Observability tools – CloudWatch, OpenSearch
Opensource observability tools – Prometheus, Grafana
Observability Frameworks: OTel, OpAMP)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise with Python, Go
CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Harness, Tekton, Jenkins
testing automation expertise using Terratest, Cucumber, PytestBD, AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS), Chaos Mesh
experience deploying/operating infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
familiarity with Agile Development, DevOps, and SRE practices
adaptability to learn new technologies
ability to rationalize complex requirements
strong teamwork and communication skills.
