Job Description:

As a Cloud Engineer at Citi, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing public cloud strategies. The role involves adopting and advancing public cloud technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying automation opportunities. You will contribute to service reliability standards while adhering to relevant regulations. The position requires hands-on expertise in cloud observability tools, IaC tools, and DevOps practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide hands-on technical contributions for Public Cloud Foundation
  • contribute to a team of cloud engineers and full-stack developers
  • identify and develop automation initiatives related to public cloud services consumption
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to align public cloud strategies with business goals
  • contribute to service availability and reliability measures in the public cloud domain
  • ensure adherence to relevant standards, policies, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 plus years of relevant experience
  • deep understanding of public cloud services adoption at scale
  • expert-level understanding of AWS/GCP Observability
  • hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • demonstrable experience with programming languages Python and Go
  • experience in CI/CD tools like Terraform, Harness, Tekton, Jenkins
  • testing automation expertise with tools like Terratest, Cucumber, PytestBD
  • experience deploying and operating infrastructure on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP)
  • familiarity with Agile Development, DevOps, and SRE practices
  • ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • excellent communication skills
  • experience evaluating complex requirements into consistent service offering
  • ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  • proven track record of operational process change and improvement.
