You will be part of Amgen's Global Commercial Operations Digital Technology Innovation (GCO DTI) organization.
Job Responsibility:
Implement, and manage highly available AWS cloud environments
Maintain VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, and IAM policies to enforce security best practices
Optimize AWS costs using reserved instances, savings plans, and auto-scaling
Maintain, and enhance Terraform & CloudFormation templates for cloud provisioning
Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring using AWS-native tools & scripting
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
Set up AWS CloudWatch and logging solutions for proactive monitoring
Implement autoscaling, load balancing, and caching strategies for performance optimization
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and conduct root cause analysis
Work closely with software engineers, SREs, and DevOps teams to support deployments
Maintain Git best practices for cloud infrastructure versioning
Support on-call rotation for high-priority cloud incidents
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 2 - 6 years of Information Science experience
Experience in programming languages such as Python, & .Net
Experience in DevOps (CI/CD) and automation tools such as digital.ai, Jenkins, Docker, GitHub
Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CDN, Route 54, WAF, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, etc.)
Expertise in Terraform & CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure automation
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and service mesh architectures
Knowledge of AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures
Good written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to express yourself succinctly
Experience using Jira for releases notifications and practical understanding of Agile/SAFe is a plus
Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Exposure to AI/ML-driven applications or generative AI technologies
Knowledge of CMS tools like Sitecore and web technologies such as HTML CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and SQL a plus
Must be able to work overlapping hours with US based team (8 to 11 A.M. PST)
Able to work with offshore teams and act as a liaison as needed
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
