Job Description:

The Cloud Engineer – Public Cloud Observability - VP position at Citi entails playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing the bank's public cloud strategy. The ideal candidate will contribute to technical engineering excellence, cloud foundation development, automation, and cross-functional alignment to drive innovation using public cloud technologies. This role demands deep expertise in observability tools and frameworks, programming, and cloud platform operations.

Job Responsibility:

Provide hands-on technical contributions within a product team focused on the Public Cloud Foundation
build and deploy solutions that advance the public cloud strategy
identify and develop automation initiatives to improve processes for public cloud services consumption
collaborate with teams to align public cloud initiatives with business goals
define and measure success criteria for service availability and reliability
ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations

Requirements:

At least 6 plus year of relevant experience
deep understanding of public cloud services adoption at scale
expert-level understanding of AWS/GCP Observability (AWS Observability Tools: CloudWatch, OpenSearch
Google Cloud Observability: Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Tracing, Cloud Alerting
Open-source Observability Tools: Prometheus, Grafana
Observability Frameworks: OTel, OpAMP)
hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Harness, Tekton, Jenkins, etc.
programming languages: Python and Go
testing automation tools: Terratest, Cucumber, PytestBD, AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS), Chaos Mesh
experience deploying and operating infrastructure on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP)
familiarity with Agile Development, DevOps, and SRE practices
ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to project changes
strong technical communication skills
proven track record in operational process improvement
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
