Job Description:

We are hiring a Cloud Engineer to join our client’s Team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most innovative banking companies in the U.S.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate across technology teams to create solutions that align with our cloud strategy
  • Engage in product design activities and implement new software solutions as part of our cloud enablement strategy
  • Maintain and enhance existing software, ensuring code meets strict standards for accessibility, security, and performance
  • Write and conduct unit and integration tests
  • Communicate effectively within a software development team, including developers, quality assurance, and project management members
  • Actively participate in requirements gathering, architecture reviews, and design meetings
  • Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and work with public cloud infrastructure
  • Apply deep knowledge of web protocols, operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture
  • Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms and services, and apply frameworks like Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
  • Implement cloud security measures and work with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins
  • Use configuration management and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, and Salt

Requirements:

  • Experience with writing infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Knowledge of web protocols, operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms and services
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) or similar frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins
  • Agile development practices and test-driven development
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt
  • Experience with identity management frameworks and tools
  • Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration
  • Familiarity with Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Cloud provider certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Architect)
  • Experience with architecting software solutions
