Cloud Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure Azure infrastructure components, including Virtual Networks, NAT Gateways, Load Balancers, DNS, Virtual Machines, Containers (e.g., AKS), Storage Accounts, and related services
• Implement and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps automation using Terraform, Azure CLI, and related tools to enable repeatable, version-controlled deployments
• Establish and manage monitoring, logging, and observability solutions, primarily using Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor, and complementary tools (e.g., integration with Sumo Logic where required)
• Investigate and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document troubleshooting guides and solutions in the company’s knowledge repository
• Monitor Azure environments, conduct capacity planning, identify performance trends/issues, and coordinate with developers to optimize cloud services for peak performance and efficiency
• Configure and manage core services such as Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways (Site-to-Site/Client VPN), networking constructs, identity (Entra ID), and certificate management/renewals
• Manage Azure IAM (RBAC, policies, conditional access) and maintain security/compliance targets across all environments (including regulatory standards relevant to fintech)
• Review, optimize, and right-size Azure resources to control costs, improve performance, and align with business needs
• Complete service requests to provision and configure cloud resources in non-production and production environments
• Collaborate with architecture, product, and development teams to enhance CI/CD processes and infrastructure standards
• Plan and test disaster recovery scenarios to manage risk and ensure business continuity

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services, including: Virtual Network, NAT Gateway, Load Balancers, DNS, VPN Gateways
• Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Storage Accounts
• Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor for monitoring and security
• Azure IAM (Entra ID/RBAC), Key Vault, and certificate management
• Databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database/Managed Instances, Cosmos DB)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred) and scripting (Azure CLI, PowerShell)
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines, with preference for experience in Azure DevOps
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure primary, with some AWS exposure) is advantageous but not required
• Solid understanding of networking, vulnerability management, and operational excellence in cloud platforms
• Commercial acumen with the ability to use data for decision-making, cost optimization, and infrastructure improvements
• Proven capacity to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and influence cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with developers, architects, and stakeholders
