Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with experience in AWS and GCP to design, develop, and manage scalable cloud-based solutions. This role focuses on collaborating with engineering teams, improving existing systems, and ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable cloud operations aligned with business needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal cloud solutions based on business requirements
  • Maintain and enhance existing cloud systems to improve performance and scalability
  • Ensure secure and efficient handling of data storage and processing in line with company policies
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues
  • Provide Level 3 support and engage with stakeholders to resolve complex challenges
  • Promote adoption of cloud best practices and guide teams on new technologies
  • Work with version control and software configuration tools such as Git and SVN

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years as a Cloud Engineer
  • Technical expertise in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience with cloud security practices and infrastructure optimisation
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrates innovation, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset aligned with the Vodafone Way
