Job Description

Join us as a Cloud & DevOps Infrastructure Architect at Barclays, where you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of location strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You will be managing bridge development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams by automating and streamlining the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring faster, more reliable, and secure software delivery through CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure automation, and monitoring, fostering collaboration, and reducing bottlenecks between teams to achieve continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the successful delivery of location strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards
  • Manage bridge development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams by automating and streamlining the entire software development lifecycle
  • Ensure faster, more reliable, and secure software delivery through CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure automation, and monitoring
  • Foster collaboration and reduce bottlenecks between teams to achieve continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
  • Build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems
  • Ensure the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure

Requirements

  • Experience in provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud or on-premise infrastructure
  • Experience in automating testing, provisioning, deployment, and infrastructure management
  • Experience in building and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Experience in implementing tools to monitor system performance, security, and reliability
  • Experience in acting as a liaison between Dev and Ops teams
  • Experience in selecting, implementing, and maintaining DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Experience with DevOps/Atlassian tools - Jenkins, GitLab, Gradle, AWS services, Shell Scripting, Groovy, Linux, Building pipeline, Docker, Open shift, aPaas, python, Infrastructure component integration
  • Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Infrastructure Skills – Networking, Firewalls, Routing, etc., Nexus, MQ, Oracle, Monitoring tools – AppDynamics / eSaaS- ELK / Kibana / Kubernetes / aPaaS – Openshift, chef/ Ansible , Terraform
  • Experience in non-prod infrastructure support, problem investigation and resolution
  • Experience in providing test environment support and interface integration
  • Experience in building and maintaining detailed application knowledge for mobile releases
  • May be assessed on key critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills
