Job Description

As a Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer, you'll be a true subject matter expert for delivering ingenious solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. Previous GCP expertise is not an essential criteria, but the desire to learn and grow more with the platform is essential. Experience with either AWS or Azure is essential. We'll be looking at you to set direction and take responsibility for successfully achieving an outcome or deliverable. You may have a team of people to support, leading a development team, or else you could be working across multiple teams, providing some centralised expertise necessary for a larger program of work.

  • Design ingenious GCP-enabled solutions and services for clients

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Cloud Functions, Cloud Run
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine
  • Knowledge of VPCs, Service Perimeters
  • Knowledge of Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore
  • Knowledge of API Endpoints, Apigee, API Gateway
  • Knowledge of Vertex AI, Model Garden, ADK and Agent Engine
  • Knowledge of Security Command Centre, IAP, IAM
  • Understanding of Microservices patterns
  • Understanding of Event-driven architectures and message queues
  • Understanding of Relational and non-relational databases
  • Development and/or scripting experience (e.g. Python, Node, Bash)
  • Secured, hardened
  • Experience with either AWS or Azure is essential

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms
  • Automation DevOps experience using Google tech like Cloud Build and open source tech like terraform
