Job Description:

We are looking for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate understands how cloud services, containers, and infrastructure work under the hood, and has enough knowledge of Java applications to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of services running on the JVM.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure on GCP with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
  • Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (GKE), including networking, ingress, storage, and service discovery
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for application delivery
  • Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code and automate provisioning
  • Package and deploy applications with Docker and Helm
  • Monitor and log systems with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, and Cloud Monitoring
  • Support production workloads, including Java-based applications (basic JVM tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting)
  • Troubleshoot incidents across infrastructure, containers, and applications
  • Automate operational tasks with Bash, Python, or Go scripts
  • Continuously improve cost efficiency, security, and reliability of cloud environments

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or SRE roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Solid expertise with Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Docker and Helm for container packaging and deployment
  • Monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK)
  • Basic knowledge of running and troubleshooting Java applications in production
  • Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go

Nice to have:

  • Deeper knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Tomcat)
  • Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd)
  • Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience
