Job Description:

Sopra Steria is a European leader in digital transformation, providing consulting, technology, and managed services. The offered position focuses on designing, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows, supporting modern DevOps principles such as CI/CD and automated operations.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with lead architects and DevOps peers to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing public and private cloud solutions
Work independently to migrate existing workflows to modern automation and orchestration engines, as defined by architecture teams
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless code deployment, validation, and lifecycle management
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions
Develop reusable automation building blocks and service catalogue components to support domain applications
Collaborate with security teams to ensure all cloud solutions meet industry best practices and compliance standards
Identify opportunities for process and deployment improvements and recommend innovative solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across various application domains and platforms
Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and platform engineering

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer with a proven track record of delivering cloud solutions
Strong portfolio of successful cloud automation projects and innovations
Professional certifications in cloud platforms or cloud-native technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform) are highly desirable
Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS and private cloud environments)
Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux)
Familiarity with platform engineering principles and tools (e.g., Backstage)
Knowledge of microservices, serverless computing, observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace), and REST APIs
Solid understanding of networking, security, and integration platforms (API management, messaging solutions)
Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
