Job Description:

The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements. The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications
Looks for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems
Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions
Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements
Provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in application development
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
A cloud certification is an advantage
Experience in analysing requirements to design an application capability on a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, …)
Expert in REST/Json APIs, microservices and cloud applications
Experience in being an active participant to development meetings, bringing updates and helping others overcoming obstacles
Expertise on building Docker images and having them running in an orchestrator (Kubernetes, Docker swarm, …)
DevOps experience, using and maintaining CI/CD systems (GitHub actions, Spinnaker, Jenkins…)
Experience in automated deployment, monitoring and self-healing patterns, logging and monitoring tools (Humio, Grafana, ELK, Prometheus, …)
Familiarity with cloud security best practices
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize existing systems
Experience in Full Stack / backend development in Java (SpringBoot, Hibernate, ..)
Knowledge of Python desired
Experience writing and maintaining unit and functional tests
SQL programming experience, ideally on PostgreSQL and/or AWS Aurora
Familiar with Git and CI tools
English level advanced
Previous work experience in building SaaS platforms, highly scalable and highly available production systems
Strong teamwork and communication skills
