Job Description:

Join Citi's rapidly expanding team as a hands-on Cloud Data Analytics Platform Engineer, where you'll help design and implement a cutting-edge, multi-cloud data analytics platform. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of infrastructure, data engineering, and architecture using cloud-native technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement a robust, cloud-native data analytics platform
Build and manage data lakes and data zones alongside enterprise-grade data governance capabilities
Develop CI/CD pipelines and champion IaC using Terraform and other tools
Collaborate with data engineering and security teams to define best practices for data infrastructure
Optimize Kubernetes clusters for running critical data processing workloads
Implement robust cloud security measures ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Requirements:

Design and implement a robust, cloud-native data analytics platform spanning AWS, GCP, and other emerging cloud environments
Design, build, and manage data lakes and data zones within our cloud environment, ensuring data quality, discoverability, and accessibility for various downstream consumers
Implement and maintain enterprise-grade data governance capabilities
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and preferably other tools like Harness, Tekton, or Lightspeed
Work closely with data engineering, information security, and platform teams to define and enforce best practices for data infrastructure
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, specifically for running critical data processing workloads using Spark and Airflow
Implement and maintain robust cloud security measures, including cloud networking, IAM, encryption, data isolation, and secure service communication
Proven hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
Demonstrable experience designing, building, and managing data lakes and data zones
Solid experience with Terraform, and preferably Harness, Tekton, or Lightspeed
Strong command of Kubernetes in the context of data processing workloads
Experience in financial services, banking, or data-related cloud transformation projects is highly desired.

Nice to have:

Experience with Snowflake and Databricks
Knowledge of FinOps principles and multi-cloud cost optimization techniques
Familiarity with event-driven data pipelines using Kafka and schema registries
Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to cloud data.
