Job Description:

Join our rapidly expanding team as a hands-on Cloud Data Analytics Platform Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data at Citi. We're building a cutting-edge, multi-cloud data analytics platform that empowers our users with secure, scalable, and efficient data insights.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement a cloud-native data analytics platform spanning AWS, GCP, and other emerging cloud environments
Build and manage data lakes and zones to optimize data discoverability and accessibility
Implement and sustain enterprise-grade data governance capabilities
Develop and establish CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure management
Optimize Kubernetes clusters for data processing workloads
Enforce cloud security best practices and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define best practices for data infrastructure.

Requirements:

Design and implement a cloud-native data analytics platform spanning AWS, GCP, and other emerging cloud environments using services like S3/GCS, Glue, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, SQS/SNS, MWAA/Composer
Design, build, and manage data lakes and data zones
Implement data governance capabilities with data catalogs and lineage tracking tools
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and other tools like Harness, Tekton, or Lightspeed
Define and enforce best practices for data infrastructure in collaboration with data engineering, information security, and platform teams
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for data processing workloads
Implement and maintain cloud security measures, including cloud networking, IAM, encryption, and secure service communication
Proven hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
Solid experience with Terraform
Strong command of Kubernetes
Experience with data governance tools and frameworks
Experience in financial services, banking, or cloud transformation projects within the financial industry (highly desired).

Nice to have:

Experience with Snowflake and Databricks
Experience with event-driven architectures and tools like Kafka
Knowledge of FinOps principles and multi-cloud cost optimization techniques.
