Reporting to the Director of IT Operations and Infrastructure, the Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing secure, scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions for P&H. This role ensures seamless deployments while embedding robust security practices across all platforms. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to integrate security into every layer of cloud and infrastructure architecture. A seasoned technical leader is required to empower teams, drive innovation, and deliver world-class solutions aligned with P&H’s business objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Business Solutions and Services, and Security teams to ensure alignment of digital infrastructure, cloud strategy, architecture, and security posture with business objectives
Liaise with partners—work with business, IT, security, and project management teams to prioritize and deliver secure, value-driven solutions
Align team vision, strategy, policies, and capabilities with Corporate Business and IT leadership, incorporating security best practices
Partner with IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to patch, harden, and secure P&H’s infrastructure and operational environment
Implement and maintain secure cloud infrastructure, services, and applications using automation tools and frameworks
Enhance efficiency, scalability, reliability, and security through advanced techniques
Assist with IT security planning, deployment, and ongoing optimization of security measures across infrastructure and cloud environments
Design Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure Firewall rules to restrict traffic
Implement Virtual Network (VNet) Peering and Private Endpoints for secure connectivity
Define governance frameworks for cloud and infrastructure that include security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices
Review and ensure delivery adheres to established governance and security policies
Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal security mandates
Provide strategic advisory services on cloud and security to IT leadership to address evolving business needs
Lead architectural strategies for large-scale projects (data center migrations, mergers, acquisitions) with security considerations at every stage
Develop and implement a Cloud Center of Excellence that incorporates security principles into transformation efforts
Drive cloud migration roadmaps with cost, architecture, operating model, and security implications in mind
Design and build cloud solutions that meet standards for availability, security, resilience, and performance
Produce design options with associated costs, benefits, risks, including security risks—to enable informed investment decisions
Shape and estimate IT initiatives and sprints, ensuring security requirements are integrated into deliverables
Set up Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for centralized logging
Implement Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM and SOAR capabilities

Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and solutions, including security features and compliance capabilities
Experience with secure deployment strategies for cloud and hybrid environments, emerging trends in cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity
Proficiency in scripting and automation for infrastructure and security tasks
Expertise in networking, security, and identity management within the cloud, including principles of conditional access and zero-trust
Detailed understanding of cloud infrastructure principles, integrations, and security controls within cloud ecosystems
Experienced in leading architectural strategies that integrate security best practices and advising leaders on secure cloud infrastructure solutions
Resourceful in providing secure problem resolutions and proficient in articulating technical and security concepts clearly
Nice to have:
Professional security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is strongly preferred
Experience in Agricultural Technology considered as asset
Knowledge of industry security frameworks (such as NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory standards
