Job Responsibility
Design and present high-level and low-level cloud architecture diagrams and documentation for infrastructure, networking, security, and application deployments
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cloud strategy, including workload migration approaches (e.g., re-host, re-platform, re-factor), cloud-native development best practices, and cost optimization (FinOps)
Lead the implementation of cloud environments using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, promoting automation and repeatability
Design and implement robust security controls, identity and access management (IAM) policies, and governance frameworks to meet enterprise security and compliance requirements
Architect CI/CD pipelines and promote a culture of automation for application deployment and infrastructure management, enabling developer velocity
Act as the senior technical expert on cloud technologies for both the client and internal Codvo teams, providing mentorship and hands-on guidance
Requirements
10+ years in IT/Software Engineering with at least 4+ years in a dedicated, hands-on Cloud Architect role
Expert-level knowledge and implementation experience with one or more major cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Strong hands-on proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers) and security best practices (e.g., defense in depth, zero trust)
Deep proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE)
Good understanding of modern infrastructure for AI applications, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic solutions. Experience designing infrastructure that incorporate AI/ML systems is crucial
Strong ability to communicate technical designs and strategies effectively to both technical teams and business stakeholders in a consultative manner
