Job Description

Knight Federal Solutions is seeking a customer-focused Tier I Cloud Administrator to provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support of cloud systems. This role focuses on delivering responsive Tier 1 help desk support for daily operations, system monitoring, and issue resolution across cloud environments. The Tier I Cloud Administrator acts as a liaison for support and issue escalation. By providing high-quality support and ensuring cloud systems are operating efficiently and securely, the Tier I Cloud Administrator plays a critical role in enabling business success and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide Tier I technical support for cloud-based systems and applications
  • Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud systems
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to basic alerts and incidents
  • Assist with user access management and basic permission configurations
  • Aid users with onboarding, accessing, and using cloud systems
  • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client, server, storage, and network devices
  • Collaborate with Tier II support teams on workload management, patch management, and troubleshooting
  • Support hands-on computer-based training for users
  • Create and maintain documentation for cloud processes and procedures
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated tickets

Requirements

  • Relevant Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or, supporting certifications and relevant job or military experience of 4 years in lieu of degree
  • 1+ years of systems administration and automation experience with Windows and/or Linux
  • Basic understanding of PowerShell and/or Bash Scripting
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred, Azure, or other cloud providers)
  • Compliance with DoD Directive 8140, or any successor directives as applicable to their roles, through the duration of the contract which can also include 8570 IAT Level 1 (Sec+ or higher)
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of cloud architecture, security, and compliance
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux systems administration and automation
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies and debugging techniques
  • Understanding of basic networking principles (VPCs, subnets, routing)
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Top Secret Clearance Required

  • Experience supporting cloud environments beyond basic familiarity
  • Debugging skills (reviewing logs, troubleshooting permissions issues, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or other Cloud Service Providers
  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
