Clinical Veterinarians are part of a dynamic, collaborative team supporting the health and wellbeing of non-human primates in a modern research environment. This is a hands-on clinical role with real responsibility, strong peer support, and the opportunity to work at the intersection of medicine, science, and animal welfare.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-quality clinical care, including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, surgery, and follow-up
Support colony health and wellness programs for assigned primate populations
Work alongside skilled veterinary technicians
Collaborate with investigators and internal teams on animal care and procedural planning
Participate in protocol review and animal care and use committees
Contribute to the planning and growth of new programs and facilities
Coordinate with Managers and Directors to support colony and project needs
Requirements:
DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited veterinary medical college
Licensed in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to obtain South Carolina licensure within 60 days
Eligible for DEA licensure
ACLAM eligibility or diplomate status is strongly preferred, but not required
Nice to have:
Laboratory animal or research experience is a plus, but not required
Prior experience with non-human primates is not required
