Being a Clinical Unit Manager will mean taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care. Not to mention running the entire place when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent.

Job Responsibility

Taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care
Running the entire place when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent
Reporting on resident mobility issues
Asking for samples for monitoring
Administering medicine
Maintaining resident dignity and wellbeing above all

Requirements

Registered Nurse with a valid Pin number
Commitment to profession through NMC standards of practice
Passion to mentor and share knowledge
Ability to provide support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students
Understanding of effective verbal and written communication
Ability to role model professional behaviours
Advocate and deliver a person-centred approach to care
Ability to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect
Knowledge of what to do if there are safeguarding concerns
Required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to role
Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken
