Job Description

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Clinical Triage and Referral Coordinator to our Outpatient Behavioral Health Department. This is a Part-Time, Day-shift, in-office opportunity. As a Clinical Triage and Referral Coordinator, you will support three Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services, including Maternal Mental Health. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team that includes mental health professionals, psychiatrists, therapists, and program leadership to ensure timely, appropriate access to PHP and IOP services. This position functions at the center of the Outpatient Behavioral Health department and serves as a key point of contact for all PHP/IOP referrals. Using strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills—along with expertise in administering evidence-based screeners and brief mental status assessments—the coordinator facilitates comprehensive triage and screening for all incoming referrals. In addition to clinical triage functions, the coordinator provides administrative support, including scheduling and phone coverage for the clinical team, and collaborates with the TAP team regarding insurance authorizations and referral coordination.
