Replacement roles within the Academy of the Great Western Hospital with a focus on Undergraduate Medical Education. Aimed at post-foundation year doctors who wish to spend time working in a medical educational role at The Academy in Swindon working with medical students from the University of Bristol (UoB), Oxford (UoO), and Kings College London (KCL). Fixed-term career development opportunity, normally taken for one year prior to specialty training.
Job Responsibility:
Work on a day-to-day basis with the Academy Undergraduate Manager and administrators, and the UC / UT's who are responsible for organizing the formal teaching programme and clinical placements
Ensure that specified formal teaching sessions are appropriately timetabled and delivered
Be in regular communication with the UT / UC and with each other
Develop and use an individual or group CTF Outlook Calendar
Educational duties delivered in the academy environment (80% of time for office-based role)
Clinical component (20% of time for office-based role, 50% for ward-based roles).
Requirements:
MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree
Must have completed Foundation Training (Yrs 1 & 2) within the NHS (proof will be required during the application process)
