Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry / Adult Dental Care (0.2 FTE). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality undergraduate teaching across the BDS and BSc programmes within a leading dental school. You will work within a dynamic and inclusive academic environment focused on excellence in teaching, innovation and student experience.
Job Responsibility
Delivering teaching and clinical supervision in Restorative Dentistry and Adult Dental Care for undergraduate students
Supporting student assessment, feedback, and progression, including examinations and performance review
Contributing to curriculum development, enhancement, and quality assurance activities
Recording and supervising clinical activities within electronic patient records
Participating in administrative duties, student engagement, and collaborative academic activities
Requirements
BDS (or equivalent) and current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
Proven clinical experience in restorative dentistry
Experience of teaching or supporting student learning in a clinical or academic setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with evidence of collaborative working
Commitment to excellence in teaching and an academic career in dental education
Nice to have
Teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA, SFHEA)
Experience supervising undergraduate or postgraduate students
Higher degree (MSc, PhD or equivalent) in a relevant subject
Experience contributing to curriculum development or teaching innovation
Evidence of leadership or involvement in academic or professional initiatives
