Job Description:

The RN – Clinical Surgery Coordinator assists in the development of the orthopedic surgical service by planning and evaluating instrument, supply and equipment needs for orthopedic procedures. The Resource Coordinator also functions as a Surgical First Assistant to provide quality patient care in the operating room.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists in the development of the orthopedic surgical service by planning and evaluating instrument, supply and equipment needs for orthopedic procedures
  • Functions as a Surgical First Assistant to provide quality patient care in the operating room
  • Utilizes knowledge from biological, physical, and social sciences to assist the Manager in ensuring the effective delivery of nursing care
  • Applies specialized knowledge to support the coordination of surgical services, optimize patient flow, and ensure adherence to best practices in the surgical environment
  • Contributes to maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse: TN (RN:TN)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire
  • Surgery experience required

Nice to have:

Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse First Assistant with orthopedic experience
