Job Description:

Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Clinical Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Millbrook House Nursing Home, Birch Street in Southport. Working four Days a week 8am- 8pm on a rota basis with every other weekend availability required- 44hr Contract. Millbrook House is a Nursing home catering for up to 60 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the care team within the Home
  • Ensuring care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines
  • Providing exceptional levels of care to residents
  • Promoting and delivering high standards of care
  • Supervising and instructing less experienced staff

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 in health & social care is essential
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
