Job Description:

Look for a caring professional for the Clinical Senior Care Assistant position at Callands Nursing Home. Join our team at Dovehaven, where you will be trusted, supported, and genuinely valued. We offer 12-hour shifts for more full days off, paid training before you start, and a strong, supportive team on every shift. You will manage the care team, ensure high standards of care, and supervise less experienced staff. We require NVQ level 3 in health & social care, excellent communication skills, and previous supervisory experience in a care home setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the care team within the Home
  • Ensuring that care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines whilst providing exceptional levels of care to residents
  • Promoting and delivering high standards of care
  • Supervising and instructing less experienced staff to enable them to fully contribute to the care provided within the Home

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly
  • NVQ level 3 in health & social care is essential along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care
  • Enhanced DBS required
