Job Description

As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive the generation of new sales across the acute care continuum
  • Draw on internal resources / tools for detailed explanation to customers of product applications and benefits
  • Conduct negotiations with the decision makers across the customer organization
  • Coordinate efforts with clinical specialists and local Baxter counterparts
  • Lead all aspects of the installation of new products
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with customers
  • Maintain and strengthen Baxter relationships throughout all levels of the hospital network

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years proven experience as a top-level sales performer in the medical device or healthcare industry preferred
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong eye for business
  • Must have documented track record of experience and success working with highly sophisticated, multi-departmental deals
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Variable travel (from 50 - 75%), including overnight travel (60-75%)
  • Residence in Western United States Required

This includes collecting and analyzing the data captured, preparing, developing and leading a Power Point presentation that summarizes the findings and results to key clinical leaders including Professional Practice, Quality Teams, Educators, Directors of clinical programs and VP’s responsible for patient care
  • Work closely with the Regional Director, Account Managers, and other team members to develop and execute on account plans and sales strategies in order to meet annual and quarterly sales targets
  • Record activities and contracts within sales software applications (Salesforce.com) and assure that all information remains current and provides enough detail to be useful to other team members
  • Travel as the need arises (up 50% of the time)
