The Clinical Risk and Quality Manager (CRQM) is responsible for managing the development, implementation and monitoring of best-in-class policies, procedures, structures and systems relating to clinical risk and quality assurance (including client satisfaction and staff performance) within Communicare’s Paediatric Care division.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and develop the Paediatric Care division’s clinical governance framework
Review, identify, develop and implement clinical policies and procedures appropriate for community-based paediatric care service delivery
Ensure that a robust risk management process is maintained
Identify, manage, report on and address operational and clinical risks
Keep up-to-date and monitor compliance with relevant legislation, standards and regulation
Ensure clinical policies and procedures reflect best practice
Take responsibility for the management of clinical audits
Have input into the development and management of the company’s training programmes
Develop an annual Paediatric Care Services Strategy
Develop and present key KPI reporting and metrics
Develop and deliver a Quality Improvement Programme
Develop and implement clear communication processes between staff, clients, families and management
Conduct home visits to review staff performance, client/family progress and client/family satisfaction
Oversee the management of comments, complaints and compliments
Develop productive relationships and liaise regularly with staff, clients and their families, the HSE and other stakeholders
Manage any emerging or existing stakeholder conflicts
Actively engage with colleagues at all levels
Foster an open exchange of ideas and a culture of development and growth
Promote Communicare’s mission and values
Make well-informed decisions confidently and in a timely manner
Assist in managing annual divisional budgets and support the monitoring of expenditure
Requirements:
RCN qualified
Minimum of 7-10 years’ clinical experience in hospital and/or community care
Experience in legislative / regulatory compliance, quality assurance and risk management
Skilled in identifying, collecting, collating and analysing data
Able to evaluate complex information and confidently make decisions in a timely manner
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
Able to develop, manage and lead staff
Capable of prioritising and handling multiple tasks with deadlines
Excellent IT skills
Full driving licence
Flexible in relation to working hours and travel as required to meet organisational needs
