Job Description

Baptist Health is hiring a Research Coordinator 1 Nurse to join the Baptist Health Research Institute. This is a full-time opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the conduct of clinical human research activities for Baptist Health Research Institute
  • Ensures that research is conducted in accordance with established standards by working with clinical investigators to coordinate study-related activities
  • Coordinates numerous protocols simultaneously
  • Ensures assigned protocols are consistent with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (BCP), Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), local regulations, institutional policies and procedures, and sponsor specifications
  • Maintains knowledge of clinical practice standards, nursing practice standards, TJC related safety requirements, OHRP requirements, human subject protection standards, and all institutional policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year clinical and/or research experience required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing Required
  • Must have a registered nurse license
  • Bachelor's Degree may substitute one year research
  • Cardiology experience preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing Preferred

  • Collaborates with the patient, family, specialist, pediatrician, and multi-disciplinary care team to assure appropriate, safe, cost effective, timely, and efficient care
  • Organizes, educates, and schedules (if needed) pediatric, sub-specialty procedures, appointments, nurse visits etc
  • Coordinates patient care conferences and educational offerings
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for patients and their families assisting with all compacity of care, triage concerns, medication education, medication refills, and all other requests within scope
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement processes
