The of Department Cardiology Heart Center Clinical Research Program is looking for a Winter 2026 hire of a part time clinical research assistant to work on multiple projects under the direction of Dr. Sarah de Ferranti, Chief of Ambulatory Cardiology. Research will be focused on health-related social needs screening and health care disparities. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, work under multiple priorities and deadlines and interact with faculty, staff, patients and families. There will be opportunities to participate in manuscript writing and authorship.
Job Responsibility:
Participant recruitment, screening for eligibility, informed consent and enrollment
study materials and data collection materials
Communicating with patients and families
Scheduling and participating in meetings (taking notes)
Data extraction, data entry
Collecting data
Extracting data from the medical records
Entering data into the database
Working with the IRB
Participating in team meetings
Engaging with patients and families in the clinic
Patient recruitment
Obtaining informed consent
Enrolling participants
Other administrative activities as required
Requirements:
Work requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in health science, engineering, or computer science
The ability to work independently and in a team setting
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficient with computer systems and technology
Ability to follow detailed protocols
Strong ability to multi-task
