The Clinical Research Assistant Coordinator supports the smooth daily operations of the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC) and contributes to the development of the Clinical Research Assistant (CRAA) team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll assist with onboarding and competency development, provide day‑to‑day guidance, and help foster a positive, collaborative team culture. Working closely with the CCTC leadership team, you’ll support workload coordination and operational improvements, while continuing to perform a range of clinical trial activities including specimen processing, documentation, and trial‑related support.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting, mentoring, and supervising the CRAA team to ensure high performance and a positive team culture
Coordinating CRAA workload distribution, roster coverage, and operational processes in collaboration with CCTC leadership
Overseeing and participating in biospecimen processing, documentation, and compliance activities
Assisting trial teams with day‑to‑day trial conduct, including protocol‑driven procedures and data collection tasks
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, workplace document development, and quality activities across the CCTC
Requirements:
A tertiary qualification in Science, Health Care, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Research Assistant (or equivalent), with confidence in hands‑on clinical trial activities such as specimen processing and documentation
Strong organisational and communication skills to support balanced workload coordination across the team
A proactive quality‑improvement mindset, with the ability to identify ways to streamline and enhance processes
The ability to collaborate effectively, support team operations, and provide clear guidance when required, while maintaining fairness, accountability, and professionalism
