Job Description:

As our Clinical Pharmacist, you'll help our doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury. Every day, you'll build trust in these interactions by reviewing every prescription in your queue. We never rely entirely on the computer to check for safety; we always use an expert for the final check. That's you. You'll review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything that looks unusual in your opinion. To excel in this role, you must enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for our patients. You should also continually look for ways to go above and beyond for your patients, delivering an exceptional experience along with exceptional care.

Job Responsibility:

Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything that looks unusual
Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings and other patient specific information
Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness
Accurately enter/verify the order or prescription into the computer system, label, and dispense medications in a timely manner
Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel
Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals
Resolve drug related problems by consulting with other health care professionals
Assist the licensed provider in appropriate drug selection and therapeutic regimens
Maintain an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served
Maintain a working knowledge of automated systems

Requirements:

Bachelors Of Science Pharmacy
Doctor Of Pharmacy Pharmacy
Pharmacist License: CA
Basic Life Support - CPR

Nice to have:
