Job Responsibility:
Review every prescription in your queue
Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything unusual
Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness
Accurately enter / verify the order or prescription into the computer system, label, and dispense medications in a timely manner
Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel
Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals
Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings and other patient specific information as defined by policy and procedure
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
BLS-CPR
Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which employee works
