Clinical Pharmacist

• Interprets, verifies, and accurately processes medication orders for drug interactions and appropriateness, and dispenses medications in a timely manner
• Communicates drug information to patients and healthcare professionals, clarifies unclear orders, and resolves drug-related problems through consultation to optimize patient outcomes
• Verifies and checks medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel, and provides direction and guidance for technician activities
• Maintains comprehensive clinical knowledge for all age groups, provides clinical services according to policy, and keeps current with automated systems
• Participates in the orientation, instruction, and training of pharmacy students, interns, technicians, residents, and other health professionals, and may serve as a Residency Program Director or Coordinator
• Documents clinical activities, patient teachings, and other patient-specific information as per policy, and performs duties in accordance with all regulatory and governing bodies

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• BLS-CPR
• Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works: PHARM:ND
• Must possess strong knowledge of Pharmacy Services
