Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice

Job Responsibility

Verification of 100% of medication orders in infusion therapy plans
On-site product checking 100% of prepared infusion preparations
Implementation of the best practice “pre-rounding” process alongside nursing and technicians up to 7 days in advance of all scheduled infusions
Supports revenue integrity through coordination of completed authorization and proper medication procurement method
On-site support to answer clinical and operational questions from nursing staff and patients
Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens
Uses effective patient education techniques to provide counseling to patients and caregivers
Designs, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on relevant biomedical literature
Reviews and accurately interprets medication orders and prescriptions
Participates in the management of medical emergencies when applicable

Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and care coordinators to support safe and efficient clinic workflows
