The Clinical Outcomes Specialist (COS), supports both hospital customers and the sales organization by providing clinical and product education focused on improving patient care, outcomes, and clinical workflows. This role requires flexibility, strong collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a field-based environment. The COS works closely with clinical stakeholders and internal sales partners to support product evaluations, implementations, and evidence-based initiatives across the territory. The territory includes Burlington to Niagara Falls and Guelph to Windsor and may be adjusted as needed to best support customers and the business. The successful candidate must be located within the territory. Regular travel to hospitals throughout the territory is required (up to approximately 75%), including occasional early morning, evening, or weekend training sessions, conferences, or customer education events.
Job Responsibility
Provide clinical and product education through planned evaluations and implementations, both onsite at hospitals and virtually using appropriate technology
Collaborate with clinical customers to integrate Baxter products into clinical protocols aimed at reducing adverse patient events such as patient deterioration, falls, and pressure injuries
Organize, coordinate, and support annual clinical studies with hospital customers, including: Collecting and analyzing clinical data
Preparing, developing, and delivering PowerPoint presentations summarizing findings and outcomes
Presenting results to key clinical stakeholders, including Professional Practice leaders, Quality teams, Educators, Directors of clinical programs, and Vice Presidents responsible for patient care
Work closely with the Regional Director, Account Managers, Specialists, and other internal partners to support account plans and customer initiatives
Attend and participate in product presentations, conferences, customer-led education days, and training sessions
Stay current on healthcare trends, clinical practice standards, and technology relevant to the product portfolio
Accurately document customer interactions, activities, and study data in Salesforce (or similar CRM systems) to ensure information remains current and actionable
Travel regularly throughout the territory and occasionally beyond the territory as business needs require
Requirements
Registered Nursing designation or Allied Health designation (degree, diploma, or equivalent)
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (e.g., ICU, Medical/Surgical floors)
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to clinical audiences
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in a field-based role

Experience working in professional practice, clinical informatics, or as a clinical educator
Previous medical device or healthcare industry experience
