The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure track or clinical track, assistant or associate professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine. The successful candidate will be joining a service of three other internists and will be expected to participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, and collaborative research in support of the academic missions of the College, Department and Veterinary Health Center.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, and collaborative research
Management of referral internal medicine cases, emergencies, and consults within the VHC
Mentoring of house officers and students in patient evaluation and management
Instruction of veterinary students, interns, and residents in both clinical rounds and lecture environments
Requirements:
Hold a D.V.M. or equivalent degree
Be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM- SAIM) or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM)
Candidates working toward certification are also eligible
Committed to academia and dedicated to contributing to a high-quality teaching program
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
