Job Responsibility

  • Work under the guidance of the CNS mentor to identify and prioritize nursing care needs for select patients
  • Evaluate the impact of nursing interventions on patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree CNS program
  • Must maintain continued enrollment and complete CNS program within 3 years to remain eligible for the CNS Intern position
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance As Required by Unit
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association As Required by Unit
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association As Required by Unit
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - The American Academy of Pediatrics As Required by Unit
  • Perioperative Registered Nurse Experience - REQUIRED
