Requirements

Certified Nurse Assistant (unless currently enrolled in a LVN or RN program and have completed the fundamentals of nursing course or have a current CA LVN or RN license)
BLS required
Assaultive Behavior Training Certification that meets AB508 and SB1299 required within 30 days of hire/transfer
New hires that have completed Assaultive Behavior training outside of Emanate Health will be required to complete Emanate Health Work Place Violence online awareness module within 30 days of hire/transfer
Annual 4 hours of Orthopedic Education required for those working at QVH
Must be available to work every other weekend
One year nurse assistant experience is preferred
Excellent customer service skills required

Job Responsibility

Assigned patient care tasks under the direct supervision of licensed care providers
Transports medications and requests to and from Pharmacy/Nurse on a non-routine basis when necessary

Job Responsibility

The Clinical Partner II (CP) is a staff position responsible for providing basic technical nursing care skills under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN)
The CP is a valued member of the nursing team who works in close collaboration with the assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient centered care and functions under the direction of the RN
The CP is not an independent practitioner and requires delegation of functions and the oversight of assigned task by the RN, for example wound care, discontinuing a saline lock, or discontinuing a Foley catheter
The CP works closely with the RN who should assess competence before assigning a task
When in doubt, no task should be performed unless the CP is competent and has been signed off on the task
