Clinical Nurse Manager

• Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of nursing and social care
• Ensure home policies and best clinical standards are practiced
• Work with staff to maintain standards and address concerns
• Review residents with pressure sores/falls/illness
• Troubleshoot clinical and non-clinical issues
• Perform comprehensive resident assessments
• Supervise medication administration and compliance
• Order monthly stock and compile inventory
• Review medication audits
• Liaise with GPs and pharmacy
• Work alongside and supervise Staff Nurses and Care Assistants
• Participate in Training & Development/Performance Appraisal
• Ensure professional, caring approach from Care Assistants
• Implement Named Nurse and Named Care Assistant practice
• Assess training needs and implement in-house training
• Audit recent admissions and care documentation
• Monitor standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ensure environmental, hand hygiene, medication, health & safety audits are carried out
• Audit Epicare documentation
• Interact and support residents and families daily
• Deal with complaints swiftly
• Assist with Director of Nursing responsibilities
• Manage daily activities, rosters, handovers, resident progress
• Support and develop clinical practice through hands-on approach
• Implement Company Health and Safety Policy.

• First level registration
• Previous managerial training / experience, an advantage
• Registered on the NMBI live register
• Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
• Sound decision making ability
• Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative
• Ability to work well and promote a team environment

Previous managerial training / experience
