Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled individual to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Manager. As a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM), you will support the Person in Charge (PIC) in leading the nursing team, ensuring clinical excellence, and maintaining compliance with HIQA standards and organisational policies. You will contribute to creating a warm, respectful, and person-centred environment where residents feel valued, safe, and supported.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strong leadership, clinical supervision, and day-to-day guidance to nursing and care teams
  • Support the PIC in the overall management and operation of the nursing home
  • Promote and uphold a culture of person-centred care, ensuring residents’ dignity, choice, and independence are respected at all times
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and best practice guidelines
  • Support safeguarding practices, ensuring all residents are protected and concerns are appropriately managed and reported
  • Contribute to the delivery of holistic care, addressing residents’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs
  • Act as a clinical role model, supporting staff development, training, and continuous improvement
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including day, night, and weekend shifts
  • Participate in the on-call rota and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with An Bord Altranais and an active PIN
  • Minimum 6 years’ post-registration nursing experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a management capacity (desirable)
  • Passionate about gerontology and dementia care
  • Strong clinical competence and leadership skills
  • Nursing Home experience desirable
