Job Responsibility

  • Enable enhanced expert clinical leadership and support to the Nursing Team to ensure a safe delivery of a safe, efficient and effective quality service
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership and supporting and promoting Nursing values
  • Support our team to ensure the achievement and operationalisation of service initiatives and the strategic goals of nursing and the organisation

Requirements

  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI]
  • Ideally have completed or be pursuing a relevant Management qualification
  • R.G.N Registration
  • At least 7 years post registration experience
  • Suitable management experience and /or qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, accountability and communication skills
  • The ability to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level
  • Promote and foster a culture of Care, Compassion and Commitment honouring the core values of Bon Secours Hospital System
  • Roster will generally be over 7 days a week however a flexible approach to work patterns is required in line with service, Days/Nights/Weekends
