As part of Secure care - Tweed HBR Learning Disability Ward require a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Lead. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver compassionate care with a focus on empathy, respect, dignity and kindness to 7 gentlemen. The successful candidate will be required to support the MDT developing collaborative needs-based care plans, through assessment planning implementation and evaluation. They will also be expected to facilitate and co-ordinate clinical practice on the ward. The successful candidate will be expected to act as identified deputy in the absence of the ward manager. This will include supporting the Junior Nurses, Student Nurses and wider staff team. Experience in leading on training and development is essential as well as a knowledge with regards to supporting clinical supervisions and staff appraisals.
Job Responsibility:
Leading the team and providing high quality, patient focused, evidence based care
Support the MDT developing collaborative needs-based care plans
Facilitate and co-ordinate clinical practice on the ward
Act as identified deputy in the absence of the ward manager
Lead on training and development
Support clinical supervisions and staff appraisals
Assist with the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes
Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures
Lead and supervise the staff over a 24 hour period
Requirements:
Professional Nursing qualification e.g.RMN/RNMH/RNLD
Student Assessor /Mentor
12 to 24 month band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need
